CELEBRATION OF SAINT MICHAEL

Autumn has arrived bringing the first rains; that old fellow who comes every year, just as we return from our holidays, with arms loaded with all sort of fruits, that the summer heat has ripened.

That abundance is as the last breath of the mother Earth before entering, little by little, winter’s lethargy. Let’s enjoy these last warm days that (as we say in Spanish) San Miguel’s short summer brings.

And with the image of Saint Michael beating the dragon, let’s face once more the daily fight of the always present contrasts in our lives, outside in nature and inside ourselves: light/dark, thought/will of action, calm/movement, Apollo/Dionysus…

As every year, we are celebrating together this time of changing season, sharing the fruits of the Earth and enjoying the performance of

SAINT MICHAEL, SAINT GEORGE AND THE DRAGON

Friday at 18:00 at the school.
(at 17:30 for children who have to get dressed and prepared)

With the fruits * that the children have been bringing during this week (best to bring fresh fruit on the last day so that it does not get spoiled) we will prepare a pretty HARVEST TABLE, that we will all enjoy at the end of the show.

Musik- und Tanzspektakel "La Danza de la Música"

"La Danza de la Música": Unter diesem Titel musizieren und tanzen Künstler aus Spanien und Deutschland am 4. Oktober in La Nucia.

Yaron Traub, Chefdirigent des Orchesters Valencia, Musiker der Münchner Philharmoniker sowie 25 Tänzer der Alanus-Hochschule in Bonn werden dabei eine Kunstform zelebrieren, die weltweit einzigartig ist: Eurythmie, eine spezielle Form des Tanzes, besser gesagt der Bewegungskunst, wie sie unter anderem an Waldorf-Schulen angeboten wird.

Traub und seine Musiker werden dabei Stücke von Beethoven, Philip Glass, Schumann und Weber zu Gehör bringen. Unter der Leitung von Rob Barendsma, Dozent der Alanus-Hochschule, tanzen 25 Studenten der Eurythmie, die sich derzeit auf einer Europatournee befinden.

Die Eurythmie ist eine expressive Bühnentanzkunst, die Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts im Umkreis von Rudolf Steiner, dem Begründer der Anthroposophie, entstand.

Äußerlich ähnelt sie dem klassischen Ballett. An Waldorfschulen ist Eurythmie Pflichtfach. In Alfter bei Bonn gibt es seit 2006 an der Alanus-Hochschule einen offiziellen, international anerkannten akademischen Lehrstuhl für Eurythmie.

Ort und Zeit: Samstag, 4. Oktober, 20 Uhr, Auditori de la Mediterrania, La Nucia. Der Eintritt ist frei, die Veranstaltung wird von der Waldorf-Schule „La Marina“ in Benidorm unterstützt.
